Local Dimming Algorithm of Automotive LCD Instrument Based on Otsu and Maximum Entropy

Abstract: In order to reasonably reduce the energy consumption of automotive LCD instrument and improve the display quality, a new local dimming algorithm is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the gray image of the input image is obtained by using the maximum principle, and then, the LED backlight brightness value is obtained by using Otsu method and maximum entropy method.
