Local Contrast-Based Pixel Ordering for Exact Histogram Specification

Abstract: Histogram equalization is one of the basic image processing tasks for contrast enhancement, and its generalized version is histogram specification, which accepts arbitrary shapes of target histograms including uniform distributions for histogram equalization.
