Local brainstem circuits contribute to reticulospinal output in the mouse

Abstract: Glutamatergic reticulospinal neurons in the gigantocellular reticular nucleus (GRN) of the medullary reticular formation can function as command neurons, transmitting motor commands to spinal cord circuits.
