Local association of Trypanosoma cruzi chronic infection foci and enteric neuropathic lesions at the tissue micro-domain scale

Abstract: Gastrointestinal (GI) disease affects a substantial subset of chronic Chagas disease (CD) patients, but the mechanism of pathogenesis is poorly understood.
