“…In this research study contribution is, two separate indices -contingency severity index (CSI) as in Malathy and Shunmugalatha (2016) and voltage collapse proximity index (VCPI) as in Naishan et al (2006) had been fused to formulate a unitification index (UI) to estimate line overloads and bus voltage deviation of the system for correct assessment of severity. Line CSI is used for the measurement of line overloads, where as VCPI had been preferred for voltage contingency ranking because of its simplicity makes numerical calculation easier.…”
