LncRNA LINC01871 sponging miR-142-3p to modulate ZYG11B promotes the chemoresistance of colorectal cancer cells by inducing autophagy

Abstract: Background Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a malignant tumor in the digestive tract. Increasing evidence indicated that chemoresistance leads to a poor prognosis of CRC. Herein, we aimed to uncover the potential mechanism by which long intergenic noncoding RNA-1871 (LINC01871) affects the chemoresistance of CRC cells. Methods Relative level of LINC01871 in CRC tissues was assessed by reverse transcription quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR). Kaplan–Meier analysis was… Show more

“…LINC01871 was found to be expressed at low levels in CRC tissues and cell lines, and patients with low LINC01871 levels had significantly worse survival. LINC01871 can sponge miR-142-3p and regulate ZYG11B expression to induce autophagy, which increases CRC cell sensitivity to 5-FU and promotes CRC cell chemotherapy resistance ( Duan et al, 2023 ). Similarly, knockdown of lncRNA NEAT1 significantly inhibited CRC cell proliferation, autophagy and enhanced 5-FU sensitivity via targeting miR-34a ( Liu et al, 2020 ).…”
