LncRNA LINC00472 regulates cell stiffness and inhibits the migration and invasion of lung adenocarcinoma by binding to YBX1

Abstract: There is increasing evidence that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play important roles in human tumorigenesis. By using publicly available expression profiling data from lung adenocarcinoma and integrating bioinformatics analysis, we screened a lncRNA, LINC00472. LINC00472 expression in lung adenocarcinoma tissues was significantly lower and tightly associated with patient prognosis and TNM clinical stages in lung adenocarcinoma. LINC00472 also inhibited lung adenocarcinoma cell migration and invasion and incre… Show more

“…Some genes have not been well-documented, whereas the remainder play different roles and their downregulation may cause pathogenic effects on the kidney. For example, FPGT, PDK1, and MMAA encode proteins important in cell metabolism, and STEAP1 and LINC00472 are associated with cancer development (Table S5B) [53,54]. While our results uncover some clues about the effects of SARS-CoV-2 on kidney cells, we must bear in mind that HEK 293T cells and kidney cells are not equivalent, and the actual responses of kidney cells to SARS-CoV-2 still need to be verified.…”

“…A hypoxic environment can activate VEGF [53], which binds to its receptor VEGFR-2 through an autocrine or paracrine mode, and activates JAK2/STAT3 to stimulate the stem transcription factors c-Myc and Sox-2. Thus, they can regulate CSC differentiation, survival, proliferation, and migration [102,103]. VEGF expression in melanoma is reported to promote the development of VM through activation of the PI3K/ AKT pathway in the tumor microenvironment [104].…”

“…Lung cancer (LC) can be divided into two subtypes: small-cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) and non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC), among which NSCLC accounts for the majority of LC cases [99]. Lambrechts et al [100] analyzed 92,948 NSCLC cells (84,341 stromal cells) at single-cell resolution, and identified 52 subtypes of stromal cells, providing a comprehensive list of stromal cell types.…”
