Abstract:Intramuscular fat (IMF) content is an economic trait in beef cattle that improves the meat quality. Studies have highlighted the correlation between long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and IMF development. In this study, lncBNIP3 knockdown promoted bovine intramuscular preadipocyte differentiation. RNA-seq analysis of intramuscular preadipocytes with lncBNIP3 knockdown identified 230 differentially expressed genes. The PI3K-Akt and PPAR signaling pathways were enriched. lncBNIP3 interference promoted mRNA and protei… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
