LMA Extubation in Pediatric Patients: A Comparison of Inflated and Deflated LMA Cuff Methods

Abstract: Airway management has always been of great importance for physicians (1). Laryngeal mask airway (LMA) is considered as a standard and acceptable device for supporting the airway in both adults and children (2). However, children have different requirements due to numerous factors like anatomical differences (3). Various methods have been introduced for LMA insertion (4); in addition, numerous methods have been introduced to decrease the complications associated with the LMA administration (5-9).
