“…In the context of countries with low resources, the challenges to dealing with the pandemic among PwSCI are heightened. Our recent findings show that in addition to the pandemic's physical and mental health impacts, PwSCI in Nepal experienced social stigma, social isolation, financial burden, inadequate access to health care and other resources (Bhattarai et al, 2022). These physical, emotional, social, and economic challenges may place them at greater risk for long-term mental health impacts.…”
