Living donor liver transplantation in adults: Outcome in Japan

Abstract: T he evolution of liver transplantation in Japan has been quite different from its evolution in Western countries. Traditional religious, emotional, and historical issues have presented long-standing obstacles to cadaveric liver transplantation.
