Living and Dying with AIDS: Special Concerns and a Mother's Perspective

Abstract: A mother's story of her son's struggle with and subsequent death due to complications resulting from AIDS was compared and contrasted with the experiences of other AIDS patients. This article examines some of the particular problems faced by those dying of AIDS in regard to physical health and legal, social, and psychological issues, as well as changes in attitudes toward persons dying of AIDS.
