Living Alone Together: Barthes, Zola, and the Work of Letters

Abstract: In Comment vivre ensemble: Simulations romanesques de quelques espaces quotidiens , the first series of lectures he gave at the Collège de France, Barthes explores individual life lived in a variety of collective situations.
