Liver Abscess Caused by a Fish Bone

Abstract: Fish bone ingestion is a common problem in the emergency department. Most cases have uneventful outcome. But occasionally it can cause serious complications if the gastrointestinal tract is perforated. A case of liver abscess caused by a fish bone is presented. It highlights the importance of maintaining a high level of clinical acumen in managing this apparently benign problem.
