Literature review on the preschool pedestrian

Abstract

The purpose of this literature review was to descri be (1) the factors lea.d;r;g to typical preschool pedestrian accidents, (2) t he develo:rmental characteristics of the preschool child that affect his/h^ e;^ behavior 'n traffic, ( ? social factors that may place a preschools at risk in traI'lFic, (4) programs cf traffic safety education for in-school and preschool use in the United States, and (:;) dreschooi traffic safety programs developed by f oreign countries.Detailed information relevant to each of these obje ctives is. presented in this volume.
