Cafe managers play an important role in realizing waste sorting behavior in cafes. To encourage waste sorting behavior among cafe managers, it is necessary to understand intentions as the main predictor of behavior. This research aims to determine the influence of green brand opportunity perception on waste sorting intention. The method used in this research was quantitative correlational with a total of 103 cafe managers in the Greater Malang area (Malang City, Malang Regency, Batu City) subjects who were collected using purposive sampling techniques. The scales used in this research are the opportunity perception scale (???? = 0.93) adapted after Neill et al. (2017), and the waste classification intention scale (???? = 0.80) adapted after Tian et al. (2019). Data analysis used simple linear regression with results showing that there was a significant positive effect (B = 0.308; p < 0.001). The findings of this research reveal green brand opportunity perception as a predictor of waste sorting intention among cafe managers. The results of this research provide an understanding of the cognitive dynamics that occur in business actors to support environmentally friendly practices.

With the development of e-commerce in Poland, consumer awareness has evolved. Buyers not only compared prices and assessed the quality of products but also began to take into account the impact of their purchases on the environment, which was previously an overlooked aspect. This growing environmental awareness is part of a broader effort to address environmental issues and support practices that promote sustainability. Currently, there is a noticeable increase in ecological awareness among society, government bodies, and the scientific community, strengthening human interaction with the natural environment. The aim of this study was to examine changes in ecological awareness and ecological attitudes among Polish e-consumers over ten years and their impact on online shopping behavior. This study explored how the ecological attitudes of Polish e-consumers have evolved over the last decade and what impact these changes in environmental attitudes have had on the online purchasing behavior of these consumers. Longitudinal studies were used to enable the analysis of changes over time. The research technique was based on repeated measurements of the same phenomena and features, carried out on diverse research samples from the same population, using the same methods and tools. This study was conducted twice, in 2010 and 2020, on a sample of 1150 people in each of these years. This research employed an online survey questionnaire, which included scales for assessing the personality traits of e-consumers and the determinants of online shopping. A significant change was found in e-consumers’ attitudes towards the natural environment and their purchasing preferences. This change has had a clear impact on purchasing behavior, including an increase in the importance of convenience, access to detailed product information, and a wide range of products offered, reflecting more conscious and convenience-oriented consumer behavior.

After oil, apparel is the second most polluting industry in the globe. Therefore, the implementation of environmentally sustainable practices in the apparel industry is a hotly debated topic around the globe. Sri Lanka's principal export revenue generator is the apparel industry, which accounts for more than forty percent of its export revenue. This research was conducted to identify the barriers that challenge in embedding environmental sustainability practices in Sri Lanka's apparel industry. Using a mixed method approach, quantitative data were collected via an online questionnaire survey (205 respondents) and qualitative data were collected via semi-structured interviews (30 interviews). Using universally accepted scientific methodologies, sample size, and data analysis methods were determined. The researcher was unable to locate any similar scholarly work on Sri Lanka's apparel industry, despite finding numerous studies on the same topic for other important apparel-producing nations in Asia and Africa. Consequently, five barriers, namely lack of environmental awareness, lack of financial resources, lack of management commitment and leadership, poor organizational culture, and lack of technology were extracted from the extensive literature review conducted using previous scholarly work from other countries and evaluated for the Sri Lankan context using the quantitative and qualitative data mentioned above. All these barriers were found to be pertinent to Sri Lanka's apparel industry, with lack of financial resources being the most challenging and lack of environmental awareness being the least challenging barrier. None of the respondents mentioned any other barriers apart from those listed above.
