Web gehen in zwei Richtungen: Einerseits steigt die Verfügbarkeit von Information weltweit, andererseits steigt aber auch die Unübersichtlichkeit, was wiederum die Verfügbarkeit herabsetzt. archivinstitutionen und Kulturwissenschaftler stehen angesichts dieser situation vor neuen Herausforderungen.Abstract: The implications of internet services like e-mail and the world wide web work in two opposite directions: On the one hand information is globally available, on the other hand transparency is lost, which decreases the availability of information. archival institutions and cultural scientists are confronted with new challenges upon this situation.
