Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh likuiditas, aset tak berwujud, modal kerja, leverage, ukuran perusahaan, dan efisiensi terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX). Dalam konteks ini, digunakan metode pengambilan sampel purposif untuk mendapatkan 74 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar dari tahun 2017 hingga 2021 berdasarkan kriteria yang ditentukan. Kriteria pemilihan sampel mencakup perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di IDX, mewakili beragam sektor, termasuk industri dasar dan kimia, industri barang konsumsi, dan aneka industri. Pemilihan terbatas pada perusahaan yang tidak sedang dalam proses delisting dan initial public offering selama periode penelitian untuk memastikan struktur data panel yang seimbang, dan laporan keuangan perusahaan-perusahaan ini harus memenuhi semua kriteria untuk setiap variabel yang bersangkutan. Selain itu, instrumen analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel dengan efek acak sebagai model ekonometrik terbaik yang terpilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa likuiditas, modal kerja, leverage, ukuran perusahaan, dan efisiensi berpengaruh positif terhadap profitabilitas. Prediktor aset tak berwujud tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Sementara itu, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam bentuk implikasi manajerial untuk mempertimbangkan likuiditas, modal kerja, leverage, ukuran perusahaan, dan efisiensi dalam meningkatkan profitabilitas perusahaan sektor industri manufaktur.

The study was informed by the continuous decline in financial performance of the Agricultural firms listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Kenya. The study emanates from the Doctoral dissertation of the first author in which the co-authors served as supervisors. A census approach was adopted where secondary data from audited annual financial reports of all the six Agricultural firms listed at the Nairobi Securities exchange, Kenya was used, covering the period 2015 to 2022. Descriptive analysis and panel regression analysis were applied. Based on the outcome of the panel regression analysis, the study established that quick ratio has significant effect on financial performance of the Agricultural firms listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Kenya. The study established that quick ratio has significant effect on financial performance of the Agricultural firms listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Kenya. The study further recommends that holding of quick assets should be done with caution by firms. Holding of quick assets should be done in view of underlying short-term liabilities since excessive levels lead to declining financial performance. "Companies operate in markets that are always changing. The business climate is marked by a number of changes, including rapidly growing markets, financial crisis, technical progress, competition and innovation. This research paper measures the impact of liquidity on profitability, represented by the rate of return on capital employed (ROCE) for companies in the retail trade industry in Romania. The independent variable liquidity conversion cycle was also taken into account in the research, the result of the regression applied to the panel data referring to the analyzed period of 9 years, 2013-2021, showing that among the independent variables, the current liquidity rate, the cycle liquidity conversion, total assets and dependent variable ROCE, there are significant and negative relationships. Also, between the independent variables the immediate liquidity rate, the turnover and the dependent variable ROCE, there is a significant but positive relationship, the conclusion being that paying more attention to the cash conversion cycle but also to the current liquidity rate, can cause a increase in the profitability of companies in the Romanian retail industry. "
