Liquid -liquid extraction of copper (II), cadmium (II) and lead (II) using tripodal N-donor pyrazole ligands

Abstract: Two different series of N-donor pyrazole ligands have been used in the liquid-liquid extraction of Cu(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions from aqueous solution using methylene chloride as a solvent. The percentage of extracted metal ion determined by atomic absorption measurements has been analyzed as a function of the ligand structure.
