Liquid Density of 2-Methoxyethyl Acetate, 2-Ethylhexyl Acetate, and Diethyl Succinate at Temperatures from 283.15 K to 363.15 K and Pressures up to 100 MPa

Abstract: The density data for 2-ethylhexyl acetate, 2-methoxyethyl acetate, and diethyl succinate were reported. The density measurements were conducted with a high-pressure vibrating-tube densimeter over 9 isotherms at (283.15 to 363.15) K and 16 isobars at (0.1 to 100) MPa. The uncertainty of each obtained datum was estimated, and the expanded uncertainties of density measurements with a confidence level of 0.95 (k = 2) of density measurement for 2-ethylhexyl acetate, 2-methoxyethyl acetate, and diethyl succinate are… Show more

“…9−12 In addition, other alcohols and ethers such as 2-methoxyethyl acetate, 2-ethylhexyl acetate, dimethyl ether, and dimethoxymethane are important alternatives to improve the combustion efficiency of a variety of conventional fossil fuels. 13,14 The investigation on thermophysical properties for a binary blend at different temperatures would reveal the type and nature of involved molecular interactions. The analysis of these molecular interactions, generated due to deviation of components properties in solution from those in pure forms, can describe the solution behavior.…”

“…The vibrating-tube densimeter used in this work has been introduced previously including a schematic diagram and detailed description. Only a brief introduction was given here. The Anton Paar DMA HPM and a model mPDS 2000 V3 evaluation unit were used to measure density.…”

“…The vibrating-tube densimeter was calibrated with water and vacuum measuring over the entire temperature and pressure ranges. A detailed description of the instrument, calibration procedure, and uncertainty determination can be found in our previous work. The combined expanded uncertainties U c , with a confidence level of 0.95 ( k = 2), are U c ( T ) = 16 mK, U c ( p ) = 0.062 MPa ( p < 60 MPa), U c ( p ) = 0.192 MPa (60 < p < 140 MPa), and U c (ρ) = 0.6 kg·m –3 .…”
