Abstract:The Kretek 2 Bridge was built over the Opak River where there is an active fault. According to bore log data and embankment site analysis, there is potential for liquefaction at a depth of 0 - 3 meters. Due to space limitations, ramp of bridge must be able to stand upright. An alternative treatment that can be implemented in this condition is to reinforce the embankment at the bridge ramp with the Mechanically Stabilized Earth Wall system.
