Abstract:Introdução: Sarcomas são tumores mesenquimais raros, sendo menos de 1% das neoplasias malignas. A localização retroperitoneal corresponde de 10 a 15% dos sarcomas, e, destes, 40 a 50% são lipossarcomas. Sua apresentação inicial é, em sua maioria, assintomática, mas, com o passar do tempo, assume grandes proporções em tamanho, podendo acarretar em quadros de urgência oncológica.
