Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder of multiple etiology, characterized by an increase in blood sugar concentration (hyperglycemia) and impaired glucose metabolism either as a result of decreased insulin secretion or due to decreased cells sensitivity to insulin.
