Link 11 Network Simulation Based on OMNeT++

Abstract: Abstract-In the life cycle of Tactical Data Link (TDL) system, the simulation is an indispensable key. This paper places emphasis upon a new object-oriented modular simulation framework-OMNeT++, and polling protocol of MAC layer is explored under its environment. Besides, TDL simulation model and Link11 network model based on the polling protocol are provided. The overall system performance such as network cycle, MAC port-to-port delay, packet delivery ratio and their analysis with network load were obtained. … Show more

“…This framework is commonly used for communication networks, which comprise of the mobility and handover functions, in order to achieve the functions in a transparent and efficient way. It has been developed to include some models that are useful to simulate wired and wireless network such as TCP, UDP, SCTP, ICMP, Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6, PPP, 802.11, 802.16, and some routing protocols [42,38].…”
