Linear energy transfer (LET) distribution outside small radiotherapy field edges produced by 6 MV X-rays

Abstract: In modern radiotherapy with photons, the absorbed dose outside the radiation field is generally investigated. But it is well known that the biological damage depends not only on the absorbed dose but also on LET.
