Lineament analysis of digital elevation model to identification of geological structure in Northern Manna Sub-Basin, Bengkulu

Abstract: Digital Elevation Model (DEM) is a representation of the actual landform based on elevation. DEM is part of the technological sophistication that is very helpful in planning, mapping, and surveying. This study applies DEM, which is constructed from DEMNAS, focusing on DEM optimization for geological structures identification. The applied method is ellipsoid stress model analysis approach to determine the type of structure. The scope of this study is located in North Manna Sub-Basin, tectonically is a basin that… Show more

“…Meanwhile, when viewed from morphology and process that takes place then the area with higher elevation will serve as a place of rain entry into the soil and into the water aquifer The fault line can be recognized from the flow of river flows firmly and evidenced by looking at the Digital Elevation Model (Fajri et al, 2019). Figure 1 shows the location with the topography map and brown line as a border the research area based on landforms.…”

“…These are topographic and airborne magnetic data. Hillshade maps produced from Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM), digital elevation model (DEM) has been used in several published research papers to delineate surface structures which are reflections of subsurface geologic structures [4][5][6][7]1,[8][9][10][11][12][13].…”

“…The detection of geomorphological features is often based on aerial photographs, satellite images, and shaded relief images created from digital elevation models (Abdullah et al, 2010;Prasad et al, 2013;Salui, 2018). Various scholars (Abdullah et al, 2010;Salui, 2018;Fajri et al, 2019) have used digital elevation models for tectonic geomorphological studies and lineaments.…”
