LIII Healing of Stapedial Fractures

Abstract: Downloaded from STAPEDIAL FRACTURES 705can be examined under the microscope without any preparation which permits daily observation; 3) microphotographs in vivo can be ob tained whenever desired; 4) at the end of the animal's life the speci men is available for histologic study. These possibilities were explored for two purposes: one, to define the value of the tantalum chamber for ear research in general; and two, to study tissue repair in a frac tured stapes as a first specific question.
