Light weight serverless computing at fog nodes for internet of things systems

Abstract: Internet of <span lang="EN-US">things (IoT) systems collect large size of data from huge numbers of sensors. A wide rage of IoT systems relies on cloud resources to process and analyze the collected data. However, passing large amount of data to the cloud affects the overall performance and cannot support real-time requirements. Serverless computing is a promising technique that allows developer to write an application code, in any programming language, and specify an event to start its execution. Thus, … Show more

“…[15]. Moderately, according to studies, it is possible to have cooperation in the use of augmented reality technology to enhance and enrich the education of people with special needs taking into account the data, its security, and the challenges of technical support [16].Web AR is one of the best events that took place in the technological field, and it is considered an excellent breakthrough in the field of augmented reality technology, for several advantages: The fifth generation networks provide multi-access computing and device-to-device communication, all of which are considered a prelude to successful infrastructures in the development of augmented reality using web AR. [22] One of the challenges faced by researchers in the field of augmented reality technology is response time, tracking, and device failure autonomy.…”

“…Kubernetes is used over the years to suffice the needs and the capability efficiently and using Kubernetes to expose HTTP endpoints for metrics as it is simpler and most used [17]. Proposed work to move high computational power near IoT sensors with fog serverless framework (FSF) and using Kubernetes to form an interface with Kubernetes cluster which manage a set of Docker container [18]. Each of the Kubernetes clusters has one or more worker nodes and masters [3] because the namespaces of each cluster enable the isolation of networks and environments.…”

“…The convolution layer can also include a padding layer to control the edges of the convoluted matrix (Wang et al, 2023). The second layer is the pooling layer which applies a filter to reduce the size of the Convolved Feature, thus decreasing the computational power required to deal with it (Mohamed and Marzok, 2022;Wang et al, 2023). The third layer is the fully connected layer which is responsible for learning non-linear features of the output of the convolutional layer.…”
