Light-induced reversible hydrophobization of cationic gold nanoparticles via electrostatic adsorption of a photoacid

Abstract: Photo-switching between the zwitterionic and anionic forms of a photoacid allows reversible hydrophobization and assembly of cationic gold nanoparticles.
