“…We choose to plot the most restrictive current bounds to highlight the fact that our parameter space has not yet been probed. Several other experiments such as XENON10 [63,64], XENON100 [65,66], DarkSide-50 [67], DAMIC [68], XENON1T [56,69], SuperCDMS [70][71][72], EDEL-WEISS [73,74], and CRESST-III [75][76][77] have set similar or weaker limits which we do not include for clarity.…”

“…The helium in this collector film will be isotopically enriched to remove its 3 He. Enrichment of 4 He to less than 5 parts in 10 13 (< 0.5 ppt) 3 He has been demonstrated [21]. Af-ter being captured onto this enriched 4 He film, the 3 He atoms diffuse across the film surface [22].…”

“…[3]) or athermal phonon detectors (e.g. [4]). However, dark matter events have not yet been observed in these energy ranges, and it is desirable to probe thermal DM as light as 1 keV.…”

“…Driven by the needs of both rare-event searches and coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEνNS) experiments, substantial effort has been spent in refining the design of cryogenic calorimeters toward eV-scale energy thresholds. These efforts include cryogenic CCDs demonstrated by SENSEI [1][2][3][4] and DAMIC [5], calorimetric detectors from CRESST [6], ν-CLEUS [7,8], EDELWEISS [9][10][11], and SuperCDMS [12][13][14][15][16][17][18]. Of these technologies, the detector presented in this paper is the first capable of operating with a low threshold at 0 V, allowing us to measure recoil energy, while also being able to measure quantized charges under application of a voltage bias.…”
