Light and the Timing of Ovulation in the Guinea-Pig

Abstract: The effect of differing lighting schedules upon the timing of the influx of leucocytes into the vaginal smear of the guinea-pig, and hence of ovulation, was examined. The timing of this event was altered following advancement of the light\p=m-\darksequence by 12 hr, and implies that the timing of ovulation in this species is influenced by light.
