Li1.2Ni0.13Co0.13Mn0.54O2 with Controllable Morphology and Size for High Performance Lithium-Ion Batteries

Abstract: The controllable morphology and size Li-rich Mn-based layered oxide LiNiCoMnO with micro/nano structure is successfully prepared through a simple coprecipitation route followed by subsequent annealing treatment process. By rationally regulating and controlling the volume ratio of ethylene glycol (EG) in hydroalcoholic solution, the morphology and size of the final products can be reasonably designed and tailored from rod-like to olive-like, and further evolved into shuttle-like with the assistance of surfactan… Show more

“…S3. The Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface areas for LMNC and L@S are 6.2 and 7.2 m 2 g −1 , respectively, which are similar to the reported porous Li-rich cathodes [23]. Moreover, the pore distribution plots were analyzed via the Barret-Joyner-Halenda method.…”

“…The differential voltage (dQ/dV) curves can elucidate some of the locations and types of fade mechanisms in LICs. 24,25 The peaks on the dQ/dV curves originate from phase transitions, and the translation of the peak position represents the change in the cell internal resistance. 26 Fig.…”

“…4a and b, all the impedance spectra are composed of a single semicircle in the highfrequency region and an inclined line in the low-frequency region. [28][29][30] Generally, the semicircle is closely related to the charge transfer resistance (R ct ), which reects the electrode reaction kinetics, and the inclined line represents the Warburg impedance (Z w ), which is caused by the diffusion of lithium ions into the active material. 31 The intercept of the semicircle with the Z 0 -axis in the high-frequency region refers to unremunerative ohmic resistance (R s ), which includes the resistance of the electrolyte, Li metal anode and Al foil current collector.…”

“…Significantly, the spinel phase content for LNMC‐C is about 2.4 %, which is verified by the XRD Rietveld refinement. For both samples, the intensity ratio of I(003)/I(104) is larger than 1.2, which means a lower randomness of cations ,. To further examine the chemical composition of the synthesized materials, the ICP (inductively coupled plasma) analysis was performed.…”
