“…In this experiment, we examined the levels of T-SOD, GSH-Px, CAT and T-AOC in serum, and determined that PQQ·Na 2 supplementation increased activity of antioxidant enzymes and T-AOC, which suggests alleviation of oxidant stress may have occurred. MDA is a naturally occurring product of lipid peroxidation and prostaglandin biosynthesis [ 40 ] and is an indicator of lipid peroxidation.
