The effect of feeding the drug “Kronocid-L” with the content of chelated compounds of microelements on the productivity and hematological indicators of fattening pigs was studied. The experiment was conducted on two analogous groups of 75-day-old fattening young pigs, 12 heads in each, obtained from crossing sows of the large white breed with boars of the landrace breed. The experiment lasted 105 days and consisted of two periods: an equalization period (15 days) and a main period (90 days). Experimental animals of the control group consumed the main diet during the equalization and main periods. The compound feed “Grower” included corn – 25 %, wheat – 25 %, barley – 23 %, sunflower meal – 12 %, wheat bran – 7 %, soybean meal – 3 %, and BMVD – 5 %. “Finisher” compound feed included barley – 38 %, wheat – 24 %, wheat bran – 12 %, corn – 9 %, sunflower meal – 9 %, and BMVD – 4 %. In addition to the main diet, the experimental group was fed the “Kronocid-L” with the content of chelated compounds of microelements at 1 liter per 1 ton of water. The drug “Kronrocid-L” is a transparent green-blue solution that contains chelate compounds of trace elements (iron, zinc, manganese, and copper), formic, acetic, orthophosphoric, lactic, citric, succinic, and benzoic acids in an amount of 19 % by weight in an aqueous solution. Experimental animals that received the drug “Kronocid-L” during the first stage of the primary period (75–110 days) and the second stage of the primary period (111–165 days) outweighed the pigs of the control group by live weight by 5.9 and 7.4, respectively %, with an average daily increase of 9.5 % (P < 0.05) for the entire period of fattening. Administration of the drug “Kronocid-L” to pigs increases the number of erythrocytes in the blood by 6.6 % (P < 0.01), eosinophils by 12.7 % (P < 0.05), rod- and segmentonuclear neutrophils, respectively, by 5.7 % (P < 0.01) and 8.09 % (P < 0.05) compared to the control group. At the same time, under the influence of the feed additive, there is a tendency to increase total protein content and a probable increase of albumins by 14.1% (P < 0.01).

The search, testing, and introduction of new biologically active substances into diets are urgent directions for increasing the productivity of animals. Their application makes it possible to increase the level of transformation of nutrients into livestock products, realize the organism's genetic potential more fully, and maintain the reproductive functions and vitality of animals within the physiological norm. It is especially relevant in the current economic conditions of animal husbandry when the vast majority of products are produced on the feed of their production and in farms where it is impossible to apply modern technologies of keeping and feeding. Biologically active substances produced by the biotechnological industry, particularly enzyme preparations, will help solve this problem. The use of enzyme preparations in animal husbandry is of great scientific and industrial importance for solving the problem. Its relevance and versatility encourage the search for optimization of the conditions for their effective use in animal feeding, taking into account their impact on the body and the quality of the obtained products. Enrichment of the young fattening pig's diet with bovilact in the amount of 5–10 g per head per day helps to increase the digestibility coefficients of protein and fat and to reduce the digestibility of fiber by 21.0–21.8 %. Such changes in the level of fiber digestibility are possible because the enzyme preparation bovilact neutralizes the activity of the microflora of the large intestine, where partial splitting of fiber occurs. The use of 15 g of bovilact in the pigs' rations did not significantly increase the digestibility of feed nutrients. However, a decreased fiber digestibility was also observed (22.3 %). Adding bovilact to the pigs' diet improves the assimilation of feed nitrogen by the body. In the experimental period, the animals retained 16.0–22.4 % more nitrogen than in the control period. The animals of the first group best-absorbed nitrogen, and 5 g of the preparation was added to their diet. Adding bovilact enzyme to the feed improved the intake of essential nutrients. This is a prerequisite for improving the absorption of these nutrients and increasing the average daily gains of animals. Their absorption into the body has increased, which is the basis for increasing productivity by consuming more nutrients with bovilact-enriched food and losing less in the feces, except for fiber.

The paper presents the results of studies of fattening and meat qualities of young large white pigs of different genotypes for the melanocortin receptor 4 (Mc4r) gene and the decline in growth intensity in early ontogeny. The research was carried out in the agricultural formations of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Jazz meat processing plant, the laboratory of the genetics of the Institute of Pig Breeding and APV of the National Academy of Sciences, and the laboratory of animal husbandry of the State Institution “Institute of Grain Crops of the National Academy of Sciences”. The work was carried out following the scientific research program of the National Academy of Sciences No. 30, “Innovative technologies of breeding, industrial and organic production of pig farming products” (“Pig farming”). Assessment of animals for fattening and meat quality was carried out taking into account the following characteristics: average daily gain of live weight during the period of control fattening, g; the age of reaching 100 kg live weight, days, length of the chilled carcass, cm; length of the bacon half of the cooled carcass, cm; thickness of lard at the level of 6–7 thoracic vertebrae, mm. The coefficient of decline in growth intensity was calculated according to the method of Yu. K. Sviechin. Biometric research results were processed using generally accepted methods. It was established that according to live weight at 4 and 6 months of age, fattening and meat qualities (age of reaching a live weight of 100 kg, days; lard thickness at the level of 6–7 thoracic vertebrae, mm; length of the chilled carcass, cm) young pigs the controlled population belongs to the I class and the elite class. The coefficient of growth decline in animals of the controlled population ranges from 108.57 to 142.51 points. The data analysis shows that according to the live weight at 4 and 6 months of age, the age of reaching the live weight of 100 kg, the fat thickness at the level of 6–7 thoracic vertebrae, and the length of the chilled carcass, the young pigs of the controlled population belong to the I class and the elite class. Animals of the Mc4r АГ genotype prevail over peers of the Mc4r AA genotype in terms of fattening and meat qualities by an average of 5.90 %. The interbreed differentiation of young pigs by the coefficient of the intensity of growth decline (∆K) shows that the difference between the animals of the experimental groups in terms of the average daily gain in live weight is 23.3 g (td = 2.62), the age of reaching 100 kg live weight is 2.7 days (td = 1.59), the length of the cooled carcass is 1.4 mm (td = 2.12). The number of reliable correlations between fattening and meat qualities, coefficient of the intensity of growth decline (∆K), and Tyler B. index is 75.0 %, which indicates the possibility of their use in selection and breeding work. The use of young pigs of the Mc4r АG genotype and animals of the I group, in which the coefficient of the intensity of growth decline (∆K) ranges from 115.61 to 123.27 points, provides additional production at the level of +3.68 – +1.75 % respectively.
