Level of Maternal Attachment and Associated Factors in Mothers of Infants with Congenital Heart Anomaly: A Descriptive, Cross-Sectional Study

Abstract

Bu çalışma, konjenital kalp hastalığı olan bebeğe sahip annelerin maternal bağlanma düzeylerinin ve ilişkili faktörlerin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu çalışma, kesitsel ve ilişki arayıcı türde bir çalışmadır. Konya Başkent Üniversitesi Hastanesi yenidoğan yoğun bakım ünitesinde tedavi gören ve konjenital kalp hastalığı olan bebeğe sahip 106 anne bu araştırmanın örneklem grubunu oluşturdu. Veri toplama araçları olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Maternal Bağlanma Ölçeği kullanıldı. Verilerin istatistiksel analizinde Mann-Whitney U testi, Kruskal-Wallis analizi ve Spearman korelasyon analizi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Konjenital kalp hastalığı olan bebeğe sahip annelerin Maternal Bağlanma Ölçeği puan ortalaması 100,65±4,68'dir. Annelerin çalışma durumu ve doğum sonrası bebeğini ilk kucağa alma zamanı değişkenleri ile Maternal Bağlanma Ölçeği puan ortalaması arasındaki farkın istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu belirlendi (p<0,05). Sonuç: Konjenital kalp hastalığı olan bebeğe sahip annelerin maternal bağlanma düzeyinin yüksek olduğu saptandı. Herhangi bir işte çalışan ve bebeğini doğumdan sonra ilk 30 dk içinde kucağına alan annelerin maternal bağlanma düzeylerinin diğer gruptaki annelere göre daha yüksek olduğu belirlendi. Çalışmaya dahil edilen annelerin diğer sosyodemografik özelliklerinin maternal bağlanmayı etkilemediği belirlendi. Farklı türde anomalisi olan bebeklerin annelerinin maternal bağlanma düzeylerinin incelenmesi ve maternal bağlanmanın desteklenmesi açısından bilinen anomalili doğumlardan sonra en kısa sürede anne-bebek ilişkisinin başlatılması önerilmektedir. Material and Methods: This study is a cross-sectional and correlational study.Mothers who were treated in the neonatal intensive care unit of Konya Başkent University Hospital and had a baby with congenital heart disease formed the sample group of the study. There were 106 participants. Personal Information Form and Maternal Attachment Scale were used as data collection tools. Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis analysis and Spearman correlation analysis were used in the statistical analysis of the data. Results: The mean maternal attachment scale score of mothers with a baby with congenital heart disease was 100.65±4.68. It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between the variables of the mothers' working status and the time to hold their baby for the first time after birth and the maternal attachment scale mean score (p<0.05). Conclusion: It was determined that the maternal attachment level of mothers who had a baby with congenital heart disease was high.
