“…Previous studies have indicated an increased incidence of skin malignancies and NHL in the same patient (Gunz and Angus, 1965;Berg, 1967;Fraser ef al., 1971;Fletcher, 1973;Boland et al, 1976;Bellet el al., 1977;Travis et ai., 1992). “…It has previously been reported that the risk of a patient with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) developing skin neoplasms later in life is increased (Gunz and Angus, 1965;Berg, 1967;McKinney et al, 1990;Travis et al, 1992). A similar increase in the risk of NHL in patients previously suffering from skin neoplasms has also been reported (Boland et at, 1976).…”

“…Prior studies of patients with CLL have documented increased risks of various forms of skin cancer, including malignant melanoma, 2,[8][9][10][11] probably resulting from the immune perturbations. 12 Risk of malignant melanoma is elevated in patients with therapeutic immune suppression associated with organ transplantation, and this risk is further enhanced by increases in sunlight exposure.…”

“…Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and acute granulocytic leukemia were the two types of malignant tumor of the hematopoietic system related to the highest incidence of second PMT—22.6 per cent and 17.6 per cent, respectively. The excessive incidence of cancer in patients with CLL is statistically significant, and cancers are not as prevalent with other leukemias or with lymphon 3–5,31–35 . The most frequent PMTs occurring with CLL are epitheliomas of the skin and lips.…”
