Leuckart Reaction

Abstract: This reaction is the reductive amination of carbonyl compounds (i.e., aldehydes and ketones) with ammonium formate or the combination of formic acid and formamides to give primary, secondary, or tertiary amines and is generally known as the Leuckart reaction.
