Abstract: Plant viruses produce particular suppressors to antagonize the host defense response of RNA silencing to establish infection. Cucurbit chlorotic yellows virus (CCYV), a member of the genus Crinivirus of the family Closteroviridae, severely damages the production of economically essential cucurbits worldwide.
