During the Covid-19 Pandemic, learning is carried out from home through online system. This study aims to determine utilizing WhatsApp group as an alternative media of learning early childhood during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research is carried out in an Islamic Kindergarten in Ciamis Regency. In this research, the writers then set forth two research questions: (1) How is the parents’ response in joining the online learning via WhatsApp group during the Covid-19 Pandemic? (2) What obstacles do the parents have in joining the online learning via WhatsApp group during the Covid-19 Pandemic? To answer the research questions, the researchers employ a qualitative descriptive study. The results of the present research show that utilizing WhatsApp group by the early childhood parents during the Covid-19 Pandemic is categorized good. It refers to the average percentage of 78%. It means that the early childhood parents accept in utilizing WhatsApp group as an alternative media of online learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. In addition, the parents’ obstacles in joining the online learning via WhatsApp group during the Covid-19 Pandemic covers 3 points. Those are: 8% of the parents have obstacle in the internet access, 7% of parents have obstacle in the internet data, and 7% of parents have obstacle in the cell phone facility.

Samoa’s educational response to Covid-19 was impeded by human and physical obstacles largely because the new educational technologies and strategies that came into effect to support teaching and learning had not been trialled nor implemented well to date. During Covid-19, the Samoan government emphasised the importance of social distancing and lockdown as health safety measures necessary for the welfare of all, but these changed learning and teaching for students and teachers and impacted daily organisation and operations for these people, and schools. Samoa’s limited physical and human resources affected schools’ lockdown and teaching and learning. Responses to Covid-19 called for teachers’ improved understanding of educational technology and its utilisation. The Ministry of Education, Sports, and Culture (MESC) acted immediately to activate online learning in response to Covid-19 and the government’s lock-down policy. Familiarising teachers and students with online support and acquiring appropriate computer skills were Samoa’s immediate educational goals. Nevertheless, the children of families without access to resources like computers and the Internet were the most affected. It is acknowledged that for citizens to survive Covid-19 it was vital to adopt appropriate health safety measures, although it is also important to ensure that no student’s educational progress is negatively impacted. Teacher upgraders studying for the Bachelor of Education primary teaching in the Faculty of Education at the National University of Samoa (NUS) were the participants.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, intensive controls were put in place to prevent the pandemic from spreading. People's habits have been altered by the COVID-19 measures and restrictions imposed such as social distance and lockdown measures. These unexpected changes created a significant impact on cellular networks, such as increased use of online services and content streaming, which increased the burden on wireless networks. This research work is basically a case study that aims to examine and investigate cellular network performance, including upload speed, download speed, and latency, during two periods (MCO, CMCO) in three different regions, including Kuala Lumpur, Selangor (Cheras), and Johor Bahru, to observe the effects of lockdown enforcement and other restrictions in Malaysia on cellular network traffic. We used the phone application Speedtest™ as a tool for data collection within different times during the day, considering the peak times, including morning, evening, and night times. The research findings show how COVID-19 has affected internet traffic in Malaysia significantly. This research would help perspective developers and companies to better understand and be prepared for tough times and higher load on cellular networks in future pandemics such as COVID-19.
