Lesson Honing through Different Approaches: A Meaningful Practice of Teaching Research among Chinese Basic Education Teachers

Abstract:“Lesson honing through different approaches” (LHDA) is a form of teaching research in Chinese basic education. This article gives a brief overview of this school-based teaching research method and describes general implementation procedures of LHDA using LHDA-based secondary mathematics teaching research as an example. Issues with the execution of LHDA are also discussed.
