Abstract: malgré une surface représentant seulement 2 % de la forêt française, le Peuplier a sa place au sein de la production forestière française grâce à un niveau de productivité sans égal, ou presque. Le Peuplier tient bien son rang au sein des feuillus, face aux Chênes et au Hêtre.
