In such events, "elite" international runners mix with amateurs, allowing these races to be called "participative" (Bessy, 2014). “…En lo que respecta a la base conceptual para referirse a la modalidad del turismo deportivo, algunos autores coinciden en que se puede dar de una "formar pasiva y otra activa" 16,17,22,23 siendo estas consideradas conductas visibles en las personas que forman parte del turismo deportivo. En la actualidad, es indudable la conexión entre turismo y deporte, siendo el deporte un factor importante en la oferta de los destinos turísticos, consideradas como actividades de ocio 24 , destacando como modalidad turística la recreación al aire libre 25 , que integra un sin número de actividades deportivas en contacto con la naturaleza 26 y que permite diferentes experiencias a personas, deportistas y/u observadores deportivos.
