“…According to Geiger et al (), Pseudophoxinus caralis (Battalgil, 1942) and Pseudophoxinus kervillei (Pellegrin, 1911) that have been recognised from Anatolia were accepted most likely as synonyms to Pseudophoxinus anatolicus (Hankó 1925) and Pseudophoxinus libani (Lortet 1883). Some of these species is restricted to a few small streams or springs and threatened due to some factors such as habitat loss, water extraction for irrigation purposes, drought, water pollution and non‐native fishes (Freyhof & Özuluğ, ; Yoğurtçuoğlu, Atalay, & Ekmekçi, ).…”

“…Length–weight relationships (LWRs) can be used for estimating the weight corresponding to a given length determining fish condition, convert lengths into biomass, and present growth pattern of fish (Froese, ; Froese, Tsikliras, & Stergiou, ). However, there are only a few studies providing LWRs of Pseudophoxinus species (Ayyıldız, Emre, Yağcı, & Altın, ; Demirci, ; Erk'akan, İnnal, & Özdemir, ; İlhan & Gücer, ; İnnal, ; İnnal, ; İnnal & Özdemir, ; İnnal, Aksu, & Giannetto, ; Koca & Ölmez, ; Yoğurtçuoğlu et al, ). Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the LWRs of 16 species of Pseudophoxinus living in Turkish inland waters.…”
