Lemierre’s syndrome: A rare complication of acute bacterial pharyngitis

Abstract: Lemierre’s syndrome is a rare clinical syndrome of septic thrombophlebitis following a bacterial oropharyngeal infection. Lemierre’s syndrome can be difficult to recognise and has significant morbidity.
