To do so, I will make a brief review of the phenomenological reception of Merleau-Ponty's work by Simone de Beauvoir e Sara Heinämaa. Also, I will focus on the political articulation of Merleau-Ponty's concept "habitual body" developed by Linda Alcoff, and how it contributes to an identity reading of gender and race.
