“…Drug-induced subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus has been noted in patients with rheumatoid arthritis [31][32][33] (Figs 1 and 2), Sj€ ogren syndrome, 34 and ankylosing spondylitis. 35 Erythema multiforme 36 and toxic epidermal necrolysis [37][38][39] have also been reported. Other dermatologic diseases precipitated by leflunomide include a mucocutaneous lichen planuselike eruption, 40 a photodistributed lichenoid drug reaction, 41 Reiter syndrome, 42 leukocytoclastic vasculitis, 43,44 leg ulcers, 45 alopecia areata, 46 and a syringotropic hypersensitivity reaction.…”

“…All of them have been discussed and reported during treatment with Teriflunomide as well. Very rare side-effects of Leflunomide include single cases of toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) [ 56 , 57 ], two cases of pericarditis [ 58 ], and two cases of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) [ 59 , 60 ] in approximately 2.1 million patient-years of use [ 61 ]. While there is one case of TEN during Teriflunomide treatment, pericarditis and PML have not yet been reported in patients receiving Teriflunomide.…”
