Evaluation of training effectiveness signifies measuring the improvement in the participant's knowledge, skill and behavior within the organization as a result of the acquired training experience. This measurement helps to match the training design and implementation cost with the associated benefits. Thus, it indicates whether the program has been able to deliver its intended goals and objectives. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the effectiveness of 'The Development of Ecotourism in the Middle East Countries' (DEMEC) training program using the eQvet-us Model. Both objectives and evaluations levels of the model are implemented following the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle (PDCA) in opposite senses. Results expose the training program effectiveness in both levels and in each phase of the PDCA cycle. In the objectives level, the effectiveness of the program building and the alignment between outcomes and contents, performance, knowledge, and motivation are analyzed. In the evaluations level, training impact on participants' reaction, learning, behavior, and results are investigated including: knowledge, skills, and behaviors of exparticipants; training impact on career promotion of ex-participants; training impact on knowledge, skills, and attitudes transfer to fellow colleagues at work; training impact on relationships with local people; and networking with other ex-participants. Finally, this paper sets recommendations to improve the effectiveness of DEMEC training program.

Purpose: Disruptive technologies (AI, IoT, etc) unlock new frontiers of data-centric innovation. This increases the computational needs, pushing more and more companies into the HPC space. However, although HPC is a key tool for processing and analysing the constantly growing volume of data across numerous application areas many companies remain reluctant to use HPC and move their HPC workloads to the cloud, which may be attributed to the inadequate understanding about HPC and its potential benefits, cost, security and performance aspects. At the same time, existing HPC training, mainly focus on the research and academic community, thus creating a gap in the provision of industrial HPC training and addressing the supercomputing knowledge skills of enterprises. Methods: Towards this aim, this paper presents an example of “massively” co-created education and training HPC module, namely an HPC NOOC (Nano Open Online Course), targeting industrial learners. This open, agile co-creation approach incorporates key components of the European HPC ecosystem and beyond, aiming to offer a paradigm for success in the democratisation of HPC knowledge, and the co-creation of educational value aiming to reach a wide impact (i.e., educational, technological, innovation, economic impact, etc). Results: The proposed HPC NOOC has been designed in an agile format so as to enable its ongoing evolution and expansion across emerging themes and indicative success stories across Europe and the world. Conclusion: Acknowledging the importance of HPC as a strategic investment for Europe and the world, this paper, aims to contribute to the democratisation of HPC training for industry and narrowing the gap between HPC adoption for micro, small and medium sized enterprises is important in order to reap the benefits of HPC innovations.

This study aims at designing a model for teaching polynomial functions' learning outcomes based on the system approach (LOSA Model). The model includes procedural mechanisms for implementing each of its parts, yielding the model's outputs, i.e. the tools needed to use the model in teaching high school students. The study consists of three phases: designing the LOSA Model, development of the procedural mechanism of the LOSA model, and formulating the necessary outputs needed to use the model in teaching. This study provides a model for teaching the learning outcomes of polynomial functions, consisting of six domains: the mathematical content; the equipment; teaching methods; evaluation methods; the students; and the teacher. In each domain, the inputs were processed to produce the required outputs through a procedural method based on the system approach. In addition, the study provides an electronic procedural guide that shows precisely how to use each and every constituent of the model. It also provides the outputs of the model which are its usable tools as a teaching model. These outputs are the learning outcomes and their prerequisites; the mathematical content of polynomial functions; the supporting electronic content on Blackboard; the initial, formative, and summative evaluation tools; the mechanisms for preparing the equipment; the teaching methods; and the training methods that qualify the students and teachers to work with the model. The study was applied to a cluster sample of 138 experts in education and mathematics, and the methodology employed the quantitative and qualitative research.
