Abstract:In the painting "Lucretia," Artemisia Gentileschi, one of the major painters of the 17 th century, depicts Lucretia's suicide. This artwork empathic vision offers the spectator the apprehension of a unique phenomenon where psychological pain is transformed into selfaggression.
