Higher educational institutes (HEI) are adopting ubiquitous and smart equipment such as mobile devices or digital gadgets to deliver educational content in a more effective manner than the traditional approaches. In present works, a lot of smart classroom approaches have been developed, however, the student learning experience is not yet fully explored. Moreover, module historical data over time is not considered which could provide insight into the possible outcomes in the future, leading new improvements and working as an early detection method for the future results within the module. This paper proposes a framework by taking into account module historical data in order to predict module performance, particularly the module result before the commencement of classes with the goal of improving module pass percentage. Furthermore, a video streaming server along with blended learning are sequentially integrated with the designed framework to ensure correctness of teaching and learning pedagogy. Simulation results demonstrate that by considering module historical data using time series forecasting helps in improving module performance in terms of module delivery and result outcome in terms of pass percentage. Furthermore, the proposed framework provides a mechanism for faculties to adjust their teaching style according to student performance level to minimize the student failure rate.

The developing technology has influenced and enhanced the life around us, so the use of the digital resources must not be hindered to serve the educational, teaching and learning sectors, in the modern times more emphasis is laid on the ways of education, relating to the teaching and learning techniques or methods used in the institutions, colleges or universities, on how the learning and teaching methods be enhanced so the students learn more comfortably and in a better way suiting their capacity or learning demands. As well, it will help the teachers to convey the topic concepts in a more relevant way to the students, helping them understand better and learn in an effective way. For this concept of enhancement in teaching and learning, many steps are been taken around the globe, many methods are been used like for instance the flip teaching technique, where the students are required to go through the learning material provided by the teacher to further explore the concepts, which are explained during the classes. Other methods include research-based learning and many more, but in the current course of time, individual traits of students when it comes to learning is often neglected, due to which the students find it difficult to understand and learn better, due to each student being unique and having various personalities and mindsets. A framework must be devised to enhance the earning ability of students based on their personalities. Modern technological tools must be used to support in the direction of teaching based on an individual's personalities and mindsets. Various groups can be formed of the students who fall into a certain category, teaching methods must be devised and quality checks must be ensured. Their learning outcomes must be measured based on their teaching methods implemented by the teachers.

The higher education sector is continuously working towards the improvement of support mechanism by means of strengthening of education technology and various other strategies. This requirement differs from the nature of the subject. For technical subjects, it is much easier to take the assistance of technology, such as online tools, videos, animation, interactive applications and much more. Whereas, subjects like Mathematics and Language learning, has a totally different scenario. However, the higher educational institutions are adopting a various innovative approach to enhance the student learning experience. This research paper focuses on some of those methods, which are adopted to improve Mathematics education at the foundation level in one of the higher educational institution in the Sultanate of Oman. The foundation level education was introduced to bridge a gap of basic requirements, which some of the students lack while completing their higher school and takes admission in the diploma or bachelor studies. Foundation Mathematics is one of the subjects which is being taught at this level. Although, there is a provision that student can opt for clearing a challenge exam and get admitted to the first semester, still many of the students opt for studying foundation due to various factors. In their school education, they are not allowed to use smartphones or devices during their classes. Whereas, in college, they can use their devices for educational purposes. The module leader prepares a session plan according to the learning outcomes and maps various activities with the support of various tools. Some of these tools are online, which are accessible on mobile phones. One such useful tool is Kaizala, which allows students to collaborate with each other to participate in various activities being conducted by the faculty members. It supports almost all the multimedia content such as audio, video, animation, interactive quizzes, polling, sharing of images, etc. In this research paper, the authors have described the implementation of such collaborative tools in various ways, to enhance student understanding. Finally, the method was found to be very useful and it has improved the results. Part-time students also found it quite useful, as they were able to participate in the class activities even if they are unable to make-up to some of their classes due to some official reasons. There were students who were repeating the subject for more than one time and who have also found such methods as quite useful ones. Overall, the experience of introducing online collaborative tools to improve the learning mechanism of Mathematics related subject was found to be very good.
