“…The determining factors in the response to the conflict and the strategies used to respond to it are reviewed. This article shows a review of the history of violence and education in Colombia, addresses five styles of conflict resolution (Oredein and Eigbe, 2014) and reviews some aspects of its peaceful transformation; In this case, some of the ideas to address the conflict in Colombian schools are analyzed, along with the central or most important factors in them. It is concluded that it is essential in the different agents in the transformation of the conflict (which includes their perceptions about violence, the causes and the way of dealing with it), that attention in the school environment can not be focused only on the students and it is necessary to review violence in school and unfair practices.…”
